Week One: Seeing With Resurrection Eyes
Based on: John 20:1–9; Proverbs 29:18; Jeremiah 29:11; Habakkuk 2:1–4; Philippians 3:13–14
Day 1 – The Invitation to Look Again
Peter and John ran to the tomb that Easter morning, hearts split between grief and hope. When John stepped inside, he saw, and believed. Sometimes faith begins in the simple act of looking again, of daring to open our eyes where despair once settled in. The resurrection invites us to return to the places that seem lifeless and discover that God is already at work, transforming endings into beginnings.
Reflection: Where in your life is God inviting you to “look again” and see signs of resurrection hope?
Prayer: Risen Lord, give me the courage to return to the places where I’ve lost hope. Open my eyes to see Your presence where I least expect it. Let me believe again in the power of new life You bring. Amen.
Day 2 – A Vision That Sees Beyond
Proverbs 29:18 reminds us, “Where there is no vision, the people perish.” Vision begins when we learn to see beyond what is toward what could be through God’s grace. God’s resurrection power frees us from the smallness of fear and invites us into a bigger picture, one shaped by His promises, not by our limitations.
Reflection: What would change in your outlook if you truly believed God’s vision for your future cannot fail?
Prayer: God of vision, lift my eyes from what I see now to what You are preparing ahead. Give me faith to walk toward Your promises even before I can see them unfold. Amen.
Day 3 – Hope in the Waiting
Habakkuk 2:3 says, “Though the vision linger, wait for it; it will surely come.” The resurrection didn’t erase pain overnight, but it redefined it. Waiting is no longer empty, it’s filled with God’s faithful promise. In those seasons when answers don’t come quickly, hope keeps us company. Resurrection hope whispers that delay doesn’t mean denial; God’s timing always bears fruit.
Reflection: How is God reshaping your perspective during a waiting season?
Prayer: Patient Savior, help me to wait with faith. When I grow weary, remind me that You are working behind the scenes for my good and Your glory. Amen.
Day 4 – Seeing Ourselves Through God’s Eyes
John’s encounter at the tomb reminds us that resurrection vision transforms not only what we see but how we see ourselves. Paul writes in Philippians 3:13–14 of “pressing on toward the goal.” Resurrection vision lets us leave behind shame or failure and live with holy purpose. You are not defined by your past; you are being refined by grace. God’s perspective sees potential in you that you may not yet see.
Reflection: What would it look like to view yourself today through the loving, hopeful eyes of your resurrected Savior?
Prayer: Jesus, help me see myself as You see me—beloved, forgiven, and full of possibility. Give me strength to press on toward the life You’ve prepared for me. Amen.
Day 5 – A Community of Resurrection People
The resurrection wasn’t witnessed by one, it was shared, proclaimed, lived out together. Faith grows stronger in community. As a church, we’re called to build not just buildings but relationships, places where others can encounter the living Christ through our welcome, compassion, and joy. The resurrection vision is never private; it’s meant to overflow into the lives of others.
Reflection: How might God be calling you to reflect resurrection hope in your church or community this week?
Prayer: Lord, make me a beacon of Your resurrection light. Help me build community rooted in love and hope, so others may see You through me. Amen.
Day 6 – Seeing What God Sees
Jeremiah 29:11 declares God’s promise: “For I know the plans I have for you... plans to give you a future filled with hope.” God’s perspective is always forward-facing. The resurrection assures us that our story is still being written and that His vision will not disappoint. To live with resurrection vision means trusting that every step we take, every challenge we face, and every act of generosity we offer becomes part of something eternal.
Reflection: Where is God asking you to align your dreams with His greater vision of hope?
Prayer: Loving Father, thank You for seeing a future for me brighter than I could imagine. Teach me to walk in faith, build in hope, and live as a witness to Your resurrection promise. Amen.
Week Two: From Doubt to Belief
Based on: John 20:19–31
Day 1 – Jesus Meets Us in Our Doubt
Thomas missed the moment. While the others rejoiced in seeing the risen Lord, he couldn’t accept what he hadn’t seen himself. Yet Jesus didn’t shame him, He came back, just for Thomas. That is mercy in action. Jesus meets us in our doubt too. In our questions, fears, and uncertainties, His love doesn’t withdraw, it draws closer. He patiently reveals Himself until our trembling hearts can finally believe.
Reflection: Where in your life might Jesus be quietly showing up, even while you struggle to believe?
Prayer: Lord, thank You for meeting me in my uncertainty. Help me to recognize Your presence even when my heart hesitates to trust. Strengthen my faith through Your mercy and patience. Amen.
Day 2 – Peace Be With You
When Jesus appeared to His disciples, His first words were, “Peace be with you.” Before correcting, sending, or teaching, He offers peace, the reassurance that His presence is enough. In every chaotic season, that same peace is offered to us. Peace is not the absence of trouble; it’s the calm confidence that Christ is with us through it all.
Reflection: What would it look like to let Christ’s peace shape your inner world today?
Prayer: Prince of Peace, breathe Your calm into my mind and heart. Let Your presence still my fears and give me courage to walk in confidence and love. Amen.
Day 3 – Blessed Are Those Who Believe
Thomas believed because he saw, but Jesus blesses those who believe without seeing. This isn’t a reprimand; it’s an invitation to deeper trust. Faith means choosing to trust what we cannot yet see because we know the One who speaks the promise. Sometimes belief grows not from certainty, but from surrender.
Reflection: Where is God inviting you to trust Him even though the outcome is still unseen?
Prayer: Lord, deepen my faith. Teach me to walk by trust, not by sight. Help me remain confident that Your unseen hand is shaping my future in love. Amen.
Day 4 – Mercy That Restores
Divine Mercy reminds us that God’s heart always moves toward us. No matter how far we’ve drifted, He invites us back with compassion and joy. Thomas’s story isn’t about shame, it’s about grace that restores. The scars Jesus showed him were not proof of failure, but proof of love stronger than sin.
Reflection: What scar in your life could become a story of God’s mercy and renewal?
Prayer: Jesus, Merciful Savior, thank You for loving me through my brokenness. Turn my wounds into witnesses of Your compassion and restoration. Amen.
Day 5 – The Vision of Faith
Faith is how we see the unseen. When we look through the eyes of faith, we start to perceive God’s hand at work, in the small details, in answered prayers, in quiet acts of love. Just as this parish’s building vision was possible because people believed before seeing, our lives are shaped the same way: by trusting that God is already doing what we cannot yet imagine.
Reflection: What might God be building in your life right now that requires your faith to see before it happens?
Prayer: Creator God, open my eyes to Your invisible work. Let my trust be the foundation for what You are building in me and through this community. Amen.
Day 6 – Sent With Peace
After revealing Himself, Jesus sends His disciples out: “As the Father has sent me, so I send you.” Faith that begins in belief must move outward in love and action. We are living witnesses of the Resurrection, called to carry mercy to our families, our neighbors, and our world. Our belief grows stronger as we share it.
Reflection: How can you bring the peace and mercy of the risen Christ into someone’s life this week?
Prayer: Lord, send me with Your peace. Let my words bring comfort, my actions show mercy, and my life reflect Your resurrection hope. Amen.
Week Three: Walking With Jesus
Based on: Luke 24:13–35
Day 1 – Jesus Walks Beside You
Two disciples walked the road to Emmaus with downcast hearts. They couldn’t make sense of what had happened at the cross. Yet even in their confusion, Jesus drew near and walked with them. Sometimes we don’t recognize God’s presence until later—but that doesn’t mean He isn’t there. Even when the road feels lonely or unclear, the risen Christ is beside us, listening, guiding, and loving.
Reflection: Where can you look back and see that Jesus was walking with you, even when you didn’t notice?
Prayer: Lord, thank You for quietly walking with me through every season. Even when I don’t see You, remind me I am never alone. Open my eyes to notice Your presence today. Amen.
Day 2 – The Gift of Holy Conversation
As they traveled, Jesus listened to the disciples’ hearts before He spoke to their minds. He let them tell their story and offered them perspective rooted in Scripture. In our own lives, Jesus often speaks through gentle conversation, through Scripture, prayer, and the people who journey beside us. His Word sheds light on our confusion and helps us see hope again.
Reflection: Who has God placed in your life to help you hear His voice and find His perspective?
Prayer: Jesus, thank You for speaking through Your Word and through the people who walk with me. Help me to listen well and to share Your wisdom with others on the journey. Amen.
Day 3 – Hearts Burning With Hope
When Jesus opened the Scriptures along the road, the disciples later reflected, “Were not our hearts burning within us?” (Luke 24:32). That burning was the warmth of hope returning. We, too, can experience our hearts rekindled when we spend time in God’s Word. His truth ignites us with joy and renews our courage to keep walking by faith.
Reflection: When does your heart “burn within you”, when faith feels alive and personal again? What stirs that flame?
Prayer: Living Word, ignite my heart with Your truth. Let Your promises renew my hope and remind me that You are alive and at work in me each day. Amen.
Day 4 – Recognizing Jesus in the Breaking of Bread
It wasn’t until Jesus broke the bread at the table that the disciples’ eyes were opened. In that sacred act, they finally recognized Him. The same happens for us at the Eucharist, Christ reveals Himself through something simple and familiar, reminding us that His presence nourishes us for the road ahead.
Reflection: How can you be more attentive to Christ’s presence at the table, in community, and in everyday moments this week?
Prayer: Bread of Life, open my eyes to Your presence in the Eucharist and in the ordinary moments of each day. Let me see You clearly and respond with gratitude. Amen.
Day 5 – Faith We Walk Together
The disciples immediately returned to Jerusalem to share their encounter with others. When they gathered with the community, they realized their story was part of something larger, Jesus was alive and at work among them all. Faith is not meant to be walked alone. The Church is where our faith becomes shared fire, many hearts burning as one for Christ.
Reflection: Where is God inviting you to walk more closely with others in your faith journey?
Prayer: Lord Jesus, thank You for the gift of community. Help me walk with love and encouragement alongside others, so that our shared faith may shine with Your light. Amen.
Day 6 – Sharing the Journey Forward
After recognizing Jesus, the disciples couldn’t keep the news to themselves, they ran to tell the others. Encounter always leads to mission. When we truly meet Christ, we long for others to meet Him too. Our church’s vision is about that shared mission—to walk with people in their struggles so they too can see life through God’s eyes.
Reflection: How might God be calling you to share the story of how you’ve recognized Jesus on your journey?
Prayer: Risen Lord, thank You for walking beside me, teaching me, and opening my eyes. Give me courage to share my story so others may discover that You are alive and walking with them too. Amen.
Week Four: Following the Shepherd’s Voice
Based on: John 10:1–10
Day 1 – The Voice That Knows You by Name
Jesus says, “The sheep hear his voice. He calls his own sheep by name and leads them out.” (John 10:3) In a world full of noise and distraction, the Shepherd’s voice cuts through the chaos with intimacy and care. He knows your story, your struggles, your hopes, and He calls you by name. Faith begins with listening. When we quiet our hearts, we begin to recognize His familiar voice, the one that leads us toward peace and purpose.
Reflection: What helps you recognize the Shepherd’s voice in the middle of life’s noise?
Prayer: Good Shepherd, quiet my heart so I can hear You. Call me by name and lead me where You want me to go. Help me trust Your voice above all others. Amen.
Day 2 – The Door to Life
Jesus not only calls Himself the Shepherd, He also says He is the door. Through Him we enter into life that is full and free. He doesn’t just protect us from danger; He opens the way to abundance. When we surrender control and step through that door, we find security in His presence and freedom in His love. The life He offers isn’t measured by possessions, but by peace.
Reflection: What might it mean for you to “walk through the door” Jesus is opening in this season?
Prayer: Lord, help me to walk boldly through the doors You place before me. Lead me into deeper trust, greater peace, and the joy of following You with my whole heart. Amen.
Day 3 – Life More Abundant
“I came,” Jesus said, “that they may have life, and have it abundantly.” (John 10:10) An abundant life isn’t one free of challenges, but one filled with meaning. It’s the life Jesus leads us into, where His goodness meets our daily choices, and His vision for us becomes our direction. When we give, serve, and love as He does, our lives overflow with the richness of His presence.
Reflection: How is Jesus inviting you to live more fully and freely in His abundance?
Prayer: Jesus, teach me what it means to live abundantly—not in excess, but in faith, love, and hope. Fill my heart so that others may experience Your goodness through me. Amen.
Day 4 – Trusting the Shepherd’s Lead
Sheep follow not because they are forced, but because they trust. Trust is built over time, through care and consistency. Jesus proves His trustworthiness in the ways He provides, restores, and protects. When He leads us into generosity or change, He isn’t asking for loss, He’s inviting us deeper into His abundant way of life.
Reflection: Where might the Good Shepherd be leading you to trust Him with something new or uncertain?
Prayer: Shepherd of my soul, teach me to follow You even when the path feels unfamiliar. Strengthen my trust that wherever You lead, You lead in love. Amen.
Day 5 – Belonging to the Flock
The Shepherd isn’t just leading one sheep; He’s forming a community. We belong to one another because we belong to Him. As a parish, we reflect His heart when we care, give, and grow together. The vision we’re building is not just about space, it’s about belonging. It’s about being a flock where everyone can hear the Shepherd’s call and find a home.
Reflection: How can you help others feel seen, known, and welcomed into this community of faith?
Prayer: Lord Jesus, thank You for this church family. Help me to love others as You love me, to build a community where everyone feels at home in Your care. Amen.
Day 6 – A Faith That Follows
Commitment is not about pressure, it’s about love in action. When we respond to the voice of the Shepherd, we become part of His ongoing work, building up hope, community, and faith for generations to come. This weekend, as we make our commitments, may we give not from obligation, but from gratitude to the One who gave everything for us.
Reflection: What step of faith or generosity is Jesus inviting you to take as you follow Him more closely?
Prayer: Good Shepherd, I offer You my heart, my gifts, and my trust. Use all that I am to build Your vision and bring Your abundant life to this community. Lead me always in Your ways. Amen.
